The firm
Small enough that you know who is doing your books, because it is the same person every month.
Graham Butler
Partner
Graham runs the client side of the firm. Bookkeeping, payroll and tax for owner-operators across San Diego, with a particular run of breweries, brewpubs and restaurants.
Those businesses run on software that does not talk to accounting software unless somebody makes it. A good deal of the work is connecting things — Ekos to the accounts so material orders and distributor sales post across on their own, Toast to Xero so the day’s takings are never more than a day old, payroll through Gusto and tied back into the same ledger. Then keeping all of it fed, month after month, so the filing stops being a scramble and the excise returns become routine.
When you book a consultation, he is who you get. Not a salesperson, and not somebody who hands you on afterwards. Fifteen minutes on the phone will tell you more about whether the firm suits you than anything written on this page.
How we are set up

One firm, one point of contact
Plenty of practices grow by adding a layer between the partner and the client. We have not. The person who looks at your books is the person who answers the phone.
No clock running
A fixed monthly fee per $50,000 of revenue, so asking a question costs nothing and there is no invoice at the end of a month you were not expecting.
Three months back if it is wrong
If the service is not what you wanted, we refund up to three months. Few firms put that in writing, which is rather the point of putting it in writing.
Talk to Graham
Fifteen minutes, no obligation. Tell him what the business does and where the books currently are, and he will tell you what he would fix first — whether or not you hire the firm.
